**About the role**

**This position holds seniority within the Clinical Governance Department**, with its main focus being on **leadership and coordination of clinical risk management** and associated quality improvement systems.

**Reporting to the Quality and Risk Manager.**

**Essential experience**:

- Extensive knowledge and experience in the principles of clinical incident management, use of clinical incident management systems including investigation methodology and open disclosure.
- Highly developed skills in writing detailed investigation reports and verbal communication.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience leading a team
- Developed report writing skills
- Highly-developed time management and prioritisation skills to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in change management.
- Highly developed skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and relevant IT systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with peers and others to create a positive practice environment that achieves best practice outcomes for recipients of health services.
- Advanced level of autonomy and decision making in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
- **Qualification**: Bachelor of Nursing with proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

**Highly Desirable**
- Possession of relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or service area focused.

**Remuneration**: Senior Registered Nurse - Level 3

**Hours**:67.5 hrs per fortnight (9-day fortnight)

**Requirements**:
