
Sustainable Development Assistant

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administration and possess excellent communication skills, enabling them to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Development Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that development applications are processed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and files in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines
- Process development applications, including calculations of fee estimates and receipt of payments
- Provide administrative support to the Planning, Regulatory, and Environmental Health teams
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
Essential Criteria:
- Certificate IV Business Administration or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a fast-paced administrative environment, with contemporary knowledge of administration functions
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, and Guidelines in relation to planning and regulatory matters
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Able to interpret policies and procedures, and recognize when to defer to other team members for clarification or escalation
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and discretion in carrying out tasks and upholding confidentialities
