
Kinship Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Kinship Support Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to kinship carers, assessing and planning services to meet their needs, and working collaboratively with the wider home-based care team.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with carers, children, and other professionals. They will also possess sound knowledge of child development, trauma-informed practice, and cultural safety principles.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field such as social work, psychology, or education
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly children and families
- Sound knowledge of assessment tools and strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
