Job Description

This progressive highly respected global pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation is one of the world's leading manufacturers & suppliers of domestic & international pharmaceutical products & is well known for its major operations, operational excellence & passion for innovation.

Due to rapid growth in operations, our client is now seeking to appoint a Metrology Assistant to be responsible for E&I Metrology function & support.

The successful candidate will report directly to the E&I Maintenance Manager and be responsible for the following duties:

  • Liaise with internal clients regarding E&I equipment that needs to be re-calibrated.
  • Identify supplier for calibration & then give it to stores to send it out for calibration.
  • Check goods received from store & review certificate numbers & attach to electronic copy of work order.
  • Track Work Orders using SAP & enter data & set statuses.
  • Effectively liaise with engineering, maintenance, instrumentation technicians.

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary or diploma qualification in Engineering, with a sound understanding of work flows, systems & methodologies & receiving & preparing instrumentation equipment. They should also have experience using SAP especially the SAP - calibration module, excellent verbal and written communication skills, must have warehousing experience - inbound/outbound, should be good with numbers (to verify certificates), and excellent Attention to detail.
