About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced physiotherapist to join our School as an academic.

As an academic, you will be responsible for teaching and coordinating clinical education streams within the physiotherapy program. You will work closely with colleagues, clinical facilities, and external stakeholders to ensure good governance, quality, and relevancy in all areas of the clinical education stream.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, and studio sessions.
  • Initiating and developing course material.
  • Acting as subject coordinators.
  • Preparing and delivering lectures and seminars.
  • Supervising major honours or postgraduate research projects.
  • Supervising the program of study of honours students and postgraduate students engaged in coursework.
  • Conducting research.
  • Playing a significant role in research projects, including leadership of a research team.
  • Involvement in professional activities.
  • Consultation with students.
  • Broad administrative functions.
  • Marking and assessment.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Registered Physiotherapist with the Physiotherapists Registration Board under AHPRA.
  • Possess or working towards a doctoral qualification in Physiotherapy or equivalent accreditation and standing.
  • Significant clinical experience and knowledge/network within the clinical education domain is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable scholarly and professional achievement in the relevant discipline area.
  • Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
