The role involves actively contributing to the education program in the room and centre team, engaging and supervising children at all times, maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members, building and maintaining strong, positive relationships with children and families. The responsibilities also include complying with National Quality Standards and Goodstart policies and procedures, supporting a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.
Job Description:
This casual educator position is based at our Dubbo centre, located in the heart of Wiradjuri Land. As a casual educator, you will be part of a supportive and friendly team that prioritises the well-being and education of young children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Supervise and engage with children during activities and ensure their safety at all times.
- Maintain open communication with parents and colleagues to ensure seamless collaboration and support.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
To be successful in this role, you will need to hold an ACECQA-approved early childhood qualification, have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be flexible with your availability between Monday and Friday.
