About You

We seek an empathetic person who possesses the following qualities:

  • A commitment and genuine passion for aged care.
  • An ability to inspire trust and proactively lead, coach, develop and mentor both unregulated care workers and carers.

In this role, you will be a champion of high-quality, safe and effective nursing that aligns with resident preferences and best practice by:

  • Undertaking clinical assessments and identifying residents' changing health needs.
  • Supporting residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions or concerns.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all care documentations are completed with appropriate strategies implemented.
  • Identifying and managing clinical risk in the aged care setting.
  • Supporting, coaching, monitoring and mentoring unregulated care workers.
  • Providing support to the Clinical Nurse Manager and clinical expertise to the care team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
  • A sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
  • Full Australian working rights and be able to pass a national police clearance.
