The conflicts team is responsible for advising clients globally on regulatory compliance issues, including conflicts of interest and financial crime. They play a key role in shaping strategy by collaborating with sector lead partners and regional/global heads of practice.
Main Responsibilities:- Provide tailored advice on compliance topics related to conflicts of interest and new business/client acceptance.
- Advise on relevant legislation, regulations, and policies, including anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislation.
- Collaborate with business development teams to strategically select new clients, ensuring compliance with professional conduct rules.
- Admitted to practice as a solicitor in Australia or another relevant jurisdiction.
- 4-5+ years' post admission experience specialising in conflicts of interest at a law firm.
- Excellent research, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously on complex conflicts and regulatory issues.
