Conflicts Advisory Expert

The Conflicts Team is a critical component of our Firm, providing guidance on regulatory compliance issues globally. We seek an experienced professional to join our team.

  • Provide tailored advice and analysis on conflicts of interest and new business/client acceptance;
  • Advise on relevant legislation, regulations, and policies, including anti-money laundering, anti-bribery, and corruption measures;
  • Collaborate with business development teams to strategically select new clients, ensuring compliance with professional conduct rules;
  • Supervise and support team members, coordinating workflow, and provide training on conflicts procedures;
  • Oversee trade securities dealing requests, contribute to software design, and lead strategic projects.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Admitted as a Solicitor in Australia or another relevant jurisdiction;
  • 4-5+ years' post-admission experience specialising in conflicts at a law firm in Australia or another relevant jurisdiction;
  • Excellent research, analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Ability to work autonomously on complex conflicts and regulatory issues, prioritising multiple tasks simultaneously and under pressure;
  • Effective verbal, written, and face-to-face communication skills with staff, including senior partners and legal assistants.
