About The PositionWe provide a safe and welcoming entry point for people experiencing distress/crisis, and/or with moderate to severe mental health needs at our Medicare Mental Health Centre.
The centre offers high quality, evidence-based assessment, care coordination, information, support, and treatment to people experiencing psychological distress, their family, carers, and support networks.
A multidisciplinary team facilitates a holistic and collaborative approach to care which addresses a broad range of social, physical, and emotional needs.
We work collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to identify their support needs, goals and develop care plans as a Mental Health Clinician.
The position provides high quality biopsychosocial assessment, care coordination and focused psychological interventions to consumers.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity with the option for a Rostered Day Off each month based in Wagga Wagga.
We operate seven days a week and candidates should be flexible and available to work on a rostered basis, including weekends and outside of normal business hours as needed.
We Are Looking For Someone With- Current full or working towards AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, or occupational therapist (accredited with OTA), or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker (or working toward)
- Demonstrated ability to engage with consumers and their families or carers to undertake assessment to determine care needs and provide care coordination and referral support
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic supports
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel for the role and flexibility to work outside normal business hours
