RMIT University is seeking a skilled and experienced Vocational Education teacher to join our team as an Aeronautical Engineering Instructor. This is a part-time, fixed-term position until July 2024 with the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver course material and assess students in the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical) courses.
- Supervise students enrolled in the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical) courses, including engineering activities, mathematical techniques, quality standards, computer-aided design, testing aeronautical engineering materials, and scientific principles.
- Participate in the Future Technologies cluster's continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (blended learning), and methods of students' assessment.
- Interact with RMIT teaching and administration staff.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment revolving around aeronautical engineering.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure current and contemporary vocational competence that meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
- Ideal experience in a relevant industry (Aeronautical Engineering) and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
- Demonstrated capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose, and implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
- Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies to interact with RMIT's learning management system (Canvas) and associated tools.
- Must hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
