Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Aeronautical Engineering Educator to join our team at RMIT University. As a Vocational Education Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering course material, assessing students, and supervising students enrolled in the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical) courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver course material and assess students in the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical) courses.
  • Supervise students enrolled in the Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Aeronautical) courses.
  • Participate in the Future Technologies cluster continuing reviews of course content and development.
  • Contribute to the development, delivery, and assessment of course material.
  • Interact with RMIT teaching and administration staff.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment revolving around aeronautical engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
  • Ideally some experience in a relevant industry (Aeronautical Engineering), and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.
  • Demonstrated capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies to be able to interact with RMIT's learning management system (Canvas) and associated tools.
Qualifications
  • Must hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
