About the Role

The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Principal in managing all aspects of property and facility management, finance, business administration, procurement, and resource management at St Clare's College.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires a strong facilities management, procurement, and financial background. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience and a proven track record in managing budgets, coordinating maintenance and repairs, and overseeing Work Health & Safety (WHS) management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Coordinate maintenance and repairs, manage budgeted building and refurbishment projects, and oversee school cleaning and security.
  • WHS Management: Oversee Work Health & Safety (WHS) management and compliance.
  • Procurement: Manage school contracts and end-to-end management of agreements, including tender preparation, analysis, and briefing papers.
  • Financial Management: Manage day-to-day accounting procedures, financial management, and strategic development in an educational setting.
  • Debt Management: Manage debt and debt recovery strategies in line with SCS' policies, procedures, and values.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Business, Finance, Project Management, or Facilities Management are highly desired.
  • Experience in Business, Finance, Project Management, or Facilities Management is essential.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to build an effective team to achieve the organisation's goals.
  • Organisational, planning, and coordination skills.
  • An ability to develop and maintain relationships with staff, families, key suppliers, and contractors.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • A commitment to Catholic Education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools, and a willingness to support the faith formation of students.
