Job Description

Maintenance mechanical fitters play a vital role in keeping assets safe, reliable and well-maintained.

  • Maintaining and replacing mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Executing planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance to prevent downtime.
  • Troubleshooting, calibration, repair and service of fixed plant assets to ensure reliability.
  • Working at heights activities, including but not limited to, operating mobile elevating work platforms.
  • Working autonomously, being reliable and positively contributing to the maintenance team.
  • Understanding the requirement to maintain assets in a safe and reliable condition.
  • Identifying and implementing improvement initiatives across multiple disciplines.
  • Promoting and identifying health, safety and environment opportunities to improve equipment, processes and behaviours.
  • Identifying defects and supporting defect elimination processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Commitment to safety of yourself and your team.
  • Respect for others and an all-inclusive mindset.
  • A valid C Class driver's licence.
  • An Australian A-grade Electrical licence.
  • An Instrumentation Certificate is advantageous.
  • Working at Heights/EWP is desirable.
  • Experience in planned maintenance including conveyors, PLC, instrumentation and other plant equipment.
  • Proven fault-finding and repair skills on various electrical equipment.
  • Maintenance experience in heavy/industrial environments.
