Key Responsibilities:
- Providing legal advice and support in relation to all of our clients' legal needs, including employment, industrial relations, work health and safety, and workers' compensation law.
- Drafting employer responses to legal claims and letters of demand and representing clients in the Fair Work Commission, Australian Human Rights Commission, and Supreme and Federal Courts.
- Reviewing and advising on policies and contracts.
- Advising on discrimination issues and risks.
- Supporting our clients in managing grievances and workplace investigations.
- Supporting our clients' workplace policies and procedures, including whistleblowing complaints.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of post-qualification experience working in Australia with strong knowledge of Australian Employment Laws and the Fair Work Act.
- Experience in contract and procurement drafting.
- Experience in enterprise agreement interpretation and enterprise bargaining support.
- Experience advising on Australian WHS regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience working independently and cross-functionally.
- Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice in Australia.
