**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our Buying Team at Costco's Head Office. This role is part of our Buying Team, responsible for all products and services sold and provided to members.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Raise and manage domestic and international purchase orders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products to our warehouses, depots, and e-commerce site.
- Review inventory levels across all locations to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
- Plan and forecast sales plans and Open to Buys across multiple categories to meet customer demand and drive business growth.
- Update item and supplier records for changes such as price, descriptions, delivery specifications, and technical product information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and e-commerce teams to set up, coordinate, and manage marketing promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Assist the Buyer and Assistant Buyer with various merchandise projects to ensure successful product launches and inventory management.
- Work closely with Suppliers, Depots, Warehouse, and e-commerce teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient inventory management.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications, or International Business.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, with strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Strong evaluation and analytical skills, with experience in data entry and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Proficiency in AS400 and ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
