This is a fixed term position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team. The role involves financial management of the EMR service including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and supporting the senior management team.
The successful candidate will lead joint budgeting processes for the EMR across the precinct, oversee cost recovery frameworks, manage shared contracts and drive financial alignment across service delivery areas.
You will coordinate and action finance activities and plans for the EMR service, working within the EMR Governance Framework to support financial and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial management of the EMR service
- Leading joint budgeting processes for the EMR
- Managing cost recovery frameworks and shared contracts
- Driving financial alignment across service delivery areas
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that maintains, operates and optimises the EMR service for the benefit of multiple health services.
The Parkville EMR team works closely with partners to deliver a world-class EMR system that supports safe, high quality and seamless healthcare.
What You'll Achieve

Your Skills and Experience
- CA/CPA qualified management accountant;
- Meticulous organisational skills, with a proven ability to prioritise work and attention to detail;
- Demonstrate problem solving and analytical skills to identify trends and anomalies;
- Ability to achieve work deadlines, prioritise workload and competing demands;
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex cost-sharing and funding arrangements across multiple stakeholders, with the proven capability to communicate effectively to non-finance audiences, simplifying complex concepts and fostering informed decision-making.
