Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Earbus Foundation of W.A. as a Community Health Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in assessing and treating communication disorders in paediatric populations, particularly in CALD communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Intervention Strategies: Design and deliver a comprehensive school-based intervention program for children affected by Otitis Media, with the goal of improving communication skills and abilities.
- Evaluate Program Effectiveness: Develop and implement an evaluation program for teachers to measure the impact of the intervention on children's communication skills.
- Quality Assurance and Risk Management: Evaluate Earbus processes and procedures related to clinical visits and quality of care, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with the Leadership team to ensure programs are delivered in accordance with Earbus values and standards.
- Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to clients as needed, collaborating with clients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to establish functional communication goals.
- Documentation and Professional Development: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders, while staying current with advancements in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development activities.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Clinical Experience: Strong clinical skills in assessing and treating communication disorders in paediatric populations, particularly in CALD communities.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Passion for Community Health: Passionate about helping families within a client-centred framework, with a strong commitment to community health and wellbeing.
- Experience Working with Aboriginal Communities: Prior experience working within Aboriginal Australian communities, with a strong understanding of the cultural and social context of Indigenous health.
