As a technical professional, you'll work alongside our engineering team to support the design, review and auditing of water networks. This role will give you hands-on experience and mentoring as you develop your skills and build your career in the water industry.

This is an identified position open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants only.

The sustainable infrastructure group is dedicated to maximising value for customers and the community by developing innovative and optimised infrastructure plans, and overseeing the planning, construction, delivery, and maintenance of water assets across the state and business.

Your responsibilities for this opportunity

  • Foster trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our strategy and its delivery.
  • Assist with technical investigations and design reviews of our networks
  • Provide support to planning, technical governance and auditing activities
  • Contribute to problem-solving, safety in design, and process improvements
  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants and external stakeholders

You will succeed in this role if you have:

  • A degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team
  • Confidence in managing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Interest in infrastructure design, technical standards and civil engineering
