About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Hand to join our team at McLean Farms, a diversified family-owned agri-business renowned for excellence in livestock and food production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections to identify wear and tear.
  • Attend to breakdowns and assist with general repairs.
  • Perform regular inspections and assessments of farm facilities, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct pre-start checks on farm equipment.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Clean and disinfect maintenance equipment and facilities to maintain good hygiene.
  • Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and replacements on farm machinery, feeding systems, ventilation equipment, and other tools to prevent breakdowns and disruptions to operations.
  • Monitor and maintain strict adherence to animal welfare standards and biosecurity protocols.

  • The ability to work autonomously.
