Job Title: EL1 Test Analyst

The EL1 Test Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the quality of our software solutions by leading complex testing activities and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across the agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead testing of SAS Investigation Management System development and implementation, including planning, preparing, and delivering UAT and Business Verification Testing (BVT) for product releases.
  • Undertake quality management and testing assurance activities through the preparation and review of test strategies, plans, accessible test scripts, coverage matrices, and sign-off reports.
  • Manage and support fraud teams to undertake UAT and BVT.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure environment and test cases are available for testing.
  • Manage and track all testing activities and escalate defects.
  • Estimate effort and time requirements for testing activities.
  • Manage the resources of testers to support various testing phases as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in functional and/or user acceptance testing with strong base test skills and experience working through multiple full lifecycle projects.
  • Familiarity with defect investigation and isolation and the importance of reliable means of defect reproduction.
  • Awareness of the importance of test process collateral (scripts and other deliverables) and the requirement for testing to feedback information to management.
  • Strong grasp of the test lifecycle within the development lifecycle.
  • Good problem-solving skills and tenacity to stay with an issue until it is resolved.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAS products, specifically SAS IMS.
  • Excellent time management and planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent team-working skills.
