Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in our diagnostic imaging department. This technologist position reports to the Manager, Nuclear Medicine or designate and performs complex technical procedures requiring independent judgment and skill.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge in nuclear medicine procedures, including radiation safety and licensing guidelines set out by relevant regulatory bodies.

  • Perform complex technical procedures, using independent judgment and skill to obtain superior diagnostic images.
  • Conduct daily quality control checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives/Programs to enhance professional competence.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in all current nuclear medicine procedures within the department.
