We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated care professional to join our team at KinCare in South Canberra.

Role Overview

As an Aged Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry services, to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for our clients.
  • Providing meal preparation and shopping support, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
  • Offering social support and transportation to lifestyle activities, fostering a sense of community and connection.
  • Assisting with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management, respecting clients' dignity and autonomy.
  • Providing respite and emotional support, acknowledging the importance of mental health and well-being.
  • Transporting clients to appointments, enhancing their access to healthcare services.
Requirements
  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, preferably with personal care skills.
  • A strong commitment to assisting older adults maintain their independence and quality of life.
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, as travel is an essential aspect of this role.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend shifts.
