About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Geo Healthcare. As a Primary Mental Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality mental health care to individuals in our correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide primary mental health nursing services to individuals in our care, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing care.
  • Conduct At Risk assessments for individuals who have been identified as at risk of self-harm or suicide.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide mental health consultancy services to primary health nursing staff and other service providers.
  • Participate in clinical handover meetings and document patient occasions of service in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
  • Professional qualifications in Mental Health and a minimum of 12 months experience working in mental health.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in the delivery of primary mental health services.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence.
  • Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
