Job Title: Ceramic Wall and Floor Tiler

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lay ceramic, porcelain, slate, marble, and glass tiles on walls and floors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and be able to work with precision to create a professional finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Laying tile requires examining plans, measuring, and marking surfaces. This involves preparing walls and floors by removing old tiles, grout, adhesives, filling cracks, and cleaning surfaces for optimal tile adhesion.
  • The successful candidate will spread adhesives onto surfaces and set tiles securely in position.
  • Cutting tools are used to shape tiles to fit around edges, corners, and obstacles such as pipes and fittings.
  • Grouting tiles and removing excess grout is essential to ensure a smooth, finished surface.
  • Applying waterproofing systems is crucial to ensure longevity and protection in wet areas.
  • The candidate will ensure all tiles are aligned, properly spaced, and adhere to design specifications while creating a polished and visually pleasing finish.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant tiling experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary for travel to and from job sites.
  • Work visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to operate tile-cutting tools, spread adhesives, and perform surface preparation. They will also possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to manage complex installations, including creating falls for drainage and working around fixtures and pipes.

In return, we offer a competitive annual salary between $76,515 - $80,000, including 4 weeks of paid annual leave, a fully maintained company vehicle provided for travel to and from job sites, and all necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) supplied by us.
