Role Overview

Cathay Pacific Airways Limited is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Sydney Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance on Cathay Pacific and third-party aircraft, ensuring a high level of safety, reliability, security, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform aircraft maintenance on Cathay Group aircraft and third-party customers under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer or Assistant Engineer Manager.
  • Monitor third-party supplier performance, follow up, and rectify any operational issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance for station ground equipment, vehicles, systems, and facilities.
  • Support contingency plans and ad-hoc operational requirements, such as diversions, charters, and major disruption recovery.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with local Occupational Health & Safety standards.
Requirements
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Engineering.
  • Experience with wide-body aircraft types, including B787, B777, A350, A330, A380, and B747-8 Freighter aircraft.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and high-level accuracy is essential.
  • Sensitivity to the requirements of different cultures and personalities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and work independently without supervision.
  • Ability to work safely under time pressures.
  • Willingness to work appropriate shifts on a 24-hour, seven-day a week roster pattern in accordance with operational requirements.
