Join a team of dedicated professionals who share your passion for supporting older adults in aged care facilities. We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hybrid / flexible role with family friendly working conditions, providing high-quality counselling and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of older individuals.

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a key role in delivering essential services to residents across Central Queensland, Wide Bay, and the Sunshine Coast.

Job Description:

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and a passion for supporting older adults.

  • Providing high-quality counselling (individual and group settings) for residents in aged care facilities, helping them navigate mental health challenges.
  • Increasing mental health awareness among aged care facility staff, families, and carers to create a supportive environment.
  • Collaborating closely with aged care facilities, families, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to mental wellbeing.
  • Engaging in supervision and professional development, ensuring continuous growth and excellence in service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in individual counselling therapy, with a focus on mental health, trauma, and family conflict.
  • Knowledge of mental health recovery principles, the social model of health, and community networks.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic approaches such as ACT, mindfulness, and brief therapy.
  • Experience working with older adults (highly regarded but not essential).
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Word, Email, databases).
