Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in Melbourne. This position will be based out of our Melbourne office and involve working on projects across various markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing electrical design deliverables, including calculations, reports, design, and technical documentation;
  • Creating electrical designs using proprietary software such as ETAP Version 20.0, Power Cad, and generating reports like Load Flow, Fault Level Analysis Report, Electrical Coordination and Selectivity Analysis Report;
  • Providing technical support to senior engineers to deliver project deliverables, presentations, case studies, and due diligence reports;
  • Attending project presentations, team collaborations, and client engagement;
  • Participating in site coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors;
  • Maintaining good design team relationships to achieve high levels of satisfaction;
  • Completing project deliverables to meet client expectations;
  • Consistently completing Electrical Design Services projects within quality, budget, and program expectations;
  • Developing and maintaining good relations with industry networks, clients, government agencies, sub-consultants, and construction contractors relevant to the MEP team's activities;
  • Assisting and coordinating design activities, processes, and other technical standards within the MEP and CSA services delivery;
  • Undertaking technical reviews of the project at appropriate stages to ensure the project approach and deliverables are achieved;

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant design experience;
  • Experience in Mission Critical Design/Data Centre Design is an added advantage;
  • Previous experience within an engineering consulting company is desired;
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Autodesk Revit, Visio, and Autocad;
  • Familiarity with Rhino/Grasshopper and electrical proprietary software such as ETAP, Vipcodia, Power Cad etc is an added advantage;
  • Knowledge of consulting and successful project management experience in the MEP sector is an added advantage;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis;
  • Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems);
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license;
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power;
