Senior Environmental Consultant

This is an exciting opportunity to influence a broad range of environmental issues through undertaking comprehensive environmental impact assessments and providing expert advice, particularly as part of the strategic and statutory planning process.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing specific environmental projects, including the preparation of environmental management plans, strategies, and policies. To achieve this, you will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge of both environmental and planning legislation and guidelines.
A team player with excellent communication skills, a clear analytical mind, strong problem-solving abilities, and advanced interpersonal skills is required for this challenging role.
- Comprehensive understanding of planning legislation and its relationship to environmental legislation.
- Sound knowledge of environmental impact assessment in accordance with Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act.
- Considerable experience in land use planning, environmental management, strategic planning, and/or environmental planning at the local, state, or federal level.
- A competitive salary package from $99,138 to $106,623 per annum (dependent on skills and experience).
- 12% superannuation plus the opportunity to co-contribute up to 5% resulting in a total of 22%.
