About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Director of Anaesthetics to lead our anaesthetic services. As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our healthcare landscape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that improve clinical practice, teaching, and research within the anaesthetic department.

You will also oversee departmental operations, including workforce planning, change management, and service development. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential to drive innovation and enhance patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to improve clinical practice, teaching, and research within the anaesthetic department.
  • Department Operations: Oversee departmental operations, including workforce planning, change management, and service development.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: MBBS (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration.
  • Certification: Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA).
  • Experience: Advanced clinical expertise and proven leadership experience within anaesthetics.
  • Skill Set: Strong skills in change management, workforce planning, and service development.
  • Presentation: Collaborative approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
