Imagining a safer world, we seek an exceptional leader to oversee our firefighting teams. As Fire Capability Manager at Oakey station, you will lead the response to emergency scenarios, allocating resources effectively and fostering an inclusive working environment.

With strong leadership skills and experience in complex service delivery, you will ensure successful deployment of personnel, equipment, and training. Your focus on safety, environmental, and health outcomes will drive compliance and excellence throughout our operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain operational preparedness to respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Accountable for resource allocation, including personnel, fleet, equipment, and training, to meet objectives.
  • Lead employee engagement and foster a culture of service excellence.
  • Build relationships with Defence Service Personnel, SEG Leadership, Base Community, and Industry partners.
  • Drive safety, environmental, and health outcomes through role modelling and leading a culture of compliance.
Requirements
  • A graduate or post-graduate qualification in Business Management.
  • Experience in complex service delivery across a geographically dispersed operation.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading people programs, including recruitment, training, and leadership development.
  • Commercially astute and strategic, with experience in workforce planning, financial reporting, SHEQ, compliance, and governance.
