Job Summary:

Ardent Leisure Group is seeking a skilled Show Technician to join our Entertainment team on a casual basis. As a Show Technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality audio visual services across both Dreamworld and WhiteWater World.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all park audio visual requirements by providing reliable AV services, including sound desk operation, Artnet DMX control, and lighting programming.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults with electronic equipment to component level, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and meet multiple objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Assist with external event operations, including bump in/out tasks for events like the Dreamworld Night Market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and exceptional service.
  • Perform a range of tasks to support the smooth operation of our entertainment venues, including working at heights and with electrical equipment.

Requirements:

  • Industry experience in relevant Show Technician/Audio Visual roles, with a strong understanding of audio visual systems.
  • Technical knowledge of sound desk operation, Artnet DMX control, and lighting programming.
  • Strong trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills to find faults with electronic equipment to component level.
  • Familiarity with network/IP programming for Bose, Dante, and Mac computer, network OSC/UDP messaging.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively in an environment with competing demands and minimal supervision.
  • Current open driver's license (elevated work platform/forklift license desirable).
