Job Summary

Dreamworld’s Entertainment team is seeking a skilled AV Technician to support audio visual requirements across both Dreamworld and WhiteWater World.

About the Role

This casual position involves providing quality and reliable AV services, requiring strong technical knowledge of audio visual systems, including sound desk operation, Artnet DMX control, and lighting programming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all park audio visual requirements
  • Provide quality and reliable AV services
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults with electronic equipment
  • Work autonomously, under pressure, and prioritize effectively
  • Support external event operations, including bump in/out tasks
  • Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements

  • Industry experience in relevant Show Technician/Audio Visual roles
  • Strong technical knowledge of audio visual systems
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and diagnostic skills
  • Familiarity with network/IP programming and OSC/UDP messaging
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively
  • Current open drivers' license (elevated work platform/forklift license desirable)

Working Conditions

Flexibility with working hours is essential, with weekend, late night work, and public holiday hours required. Good physical dexterity and the ability to perform physically demanding work tasks are also necessary.
