About the Role:

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing freight bookings, time slot requests, and coordinating linehaul freight and deliveries. They will also be required to plan and build loads in line with customer requirements, enforce business processes and rules, and monitor compliance with fatigue, mass, and maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manifesting consignments

  • Managing freight bookings and time slot requests
  • Debriefing driver paperwork
  • Organising transport and planning for CoR compliance
  • Co-ordinating linehaul freight and deliveries
  • Planning and building loads in line with customer requirements
  • Equipment and resource planning
  • Enforcing business processes and rules
  • Monitoring compliance with Fatigue, mass and maintenance requirements
  • Ensuring the safe conduct of operations in the workplace
  • Assisting with depot pallet control
  • Performing ad hoc administrative duties as directed by the Administration and Depot Manager
  • Ensuring that all transport documents are correctly completed, filed, and utilised in compliance with any and all regulatory standards for the transportation industry

Requirements:

  • Prior transport planning administration experience
  • Computer literacy
  • Able to prioritise high volume of work and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with the willingness to learn
  • A team player
  • A genuine care factor for the needs of internal and external customers
  • Sound knowledge of metropolitan and regional freight networks
  • A strong customer focus
