Your day-to-day will consist of:

  • Performing routine, preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance on our fibre backbone network.
  • Designing and building management of the fibre backbone network.
  • Installing and commissioning telecommunications equipment in our exchange and field environment.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of equipment and network functions to perform restoration and maintenance competently.
  • Critiquing circuit schematics and identifying problems prior to service implementation.
  • Undertaking acceptance testing activities for new equipment.
  • Working with field engineers to provision and commission new services.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Diploma in Telecommunications engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of BNS, switching, transmission, fibre, and mobile networks.
  • Experience with fibre network build and design.
  • Hold a current driving license, automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
  • Be available for on-call work as required.
