About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Assurance Manager to join our team at Australian Rail Track Corporation. As a key member of our Safety & Systems team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of our rail assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective 2nd level technical assurance regime for ARTC's core business processes in accordance with ARTC's overarching assurance framework.
  • Ensure ARTC's Engineering Standards and governance processes are aligned with ARTC's strategic direction and designed to achieve improved performance outcomes for the organisation.
  • Represent ARTC on relevant industry forums and provide timely and thorough advice and engagement with internal stakeholders and decision makers.
  • Oversee compliance and effectiveness with ARTC's Safety Management System and Asset Management System requirements, responsibilities, authorities, and accountabilities.
  • Plan and execute the refinement and implementation of ARTC's overarching Technical Assurance, Infrastructure Standards and Project and Process Management Frameworks.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in risk management, engineering discipline or equivalent relevant senior management experience.
  • Minimum 3+ years in an operational leadership role.
  • Extensive practical experience in contemporary risk management working in high-risk complex organisations with a mix of insource/outsource delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in safety assurance, process safety or equivalent risk management application in high-risk industries.
  • Experience in development, management, improvement and assurance of risk management processes.
