People and Culture Specialist

The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the largest event in South-East Queensland's history, with the potential to deliver transformational change to our region.

As part of this major undertaking, we are seeking a People and Culture Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end recruitment services, providing generalist human resource and people management advice and support to our Executive team as the organisation grows and evolves.

This specialist will be key in ensuring the successful delivery of recruitment services, including drafting and writing position descriptions, uploading online advertisements, supporting panel interviews, attending probity checks and offer-stage negotiations, and developing new employee onboarding programs.

This stand-alone, autonomous Human Resources position requires a generalist human resources background, strong organisational skills, and excellent communication abilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Drafting and writing position descriptions along with uploading online advertisements
    • Supporting the Executive team in providing panel interview assessment formats and attending panel interviews (if required)
    • Attending probity checks and offer-stage negotiations
    • Development and implementation of new employee onboarding programs

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess significant experience in broad corporate human resources positions with multi-facetted stakeholders. Strong team players with the ability to multi-task and deliver against tight deadlines are essential.

Relevant experience within Events, Sport, or organisations in a start-up/build phase will also be well regarded.
