
Logistics Supply Chain Specialist

As a Logistics Supply Chain Specialist, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day logistics and distribution operations. Your goal is to ensure timely deliveries in accordance with customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine loads and execute them in accordance with delivery plans
- Ensure loads comply with vehicle load regulations and requirements
- Conduct load restraint audits and checks
- Support on-time delivery results through prioritization of deliveries and special requests
- Prepare drivers' load summary dockets and manage truck schedules
- Monitor site freight costs (Inbound & Outbound)
- Contribute to regional freight planning improvement initiatives
Requirements and Skills:
- Proactive individual with problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
- Ability to work as part of a team, highly organized, strong communication skills, and high accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in allocating a varied fleet of vehicles
- Knowledge of the building and construction industry, specifically regarding steel deliveries
- SAP knowledge, specifically the logistics module
- Proficient in computer systems
- Steel product knowledge (re: dimensions, typical uses, etc.) advantageous
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of vehicle types, capacity, specifications, load configuration, and load restraint
