Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Coordinator Library Services to join our team. As the Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading our Library Services Unit through an exciting period of growth and transformation.

You will be at the forefront of designing and delivering a modern, inclusive, and community-focused library network that reflects the needs and aspirations of our diverse population.

This is a leadership position where you will guide the strategic planning, development, and operation of Council's library services and infrastructure.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, manage a team of passionate staff and volunteers, and oversee capital works and policy implementation to ensure our libraries are vibrant, welcoming, and fit for the future.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in a field such as Libraries, Information Sciences, Management, or equivalent experience in related fields.
  • Experience in managing a business with a focus on customer service, human resources, marketing, facility, and project management.
  • A Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card) or ability to obtain.
  • Understanding of key trends relative to Library Services and broader industry implications to Local Government and the community.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, demonstrating the ability to garner support and commitment to a project or concept.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a creative and flexible work team.
