Job Overview

Job Description:

The Process Operator is responsible for overseeing the operation of furnace systems, ensuring optimal performance and adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor oxygen-fired furnaces and batch house equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Utilize SCADA/PLC systems to monitor system performance, adjust settings as needed, and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance personnel to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Participate in safety initiatives and contribute to risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and lower emissions.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, with confidence in operating automated machinery.
  • Solid mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
  • Familiarity with automated control systems, including SCADA or PLC.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and efficiency.
  • Understanding of industrial safety standards, particularly around hazardous materials and machinery.
  • Ability to work in high-temperature, noisy environments while prioritizing safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
