Senior Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security and defence, with excellent communication and leadership skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to the success of our organization and advance their career in a dynamic and rapidly growing sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing commercial and defence security advice and education to all business operations within a nominated area and supporting other security officers nationally.

About the Role

  • Ensure the practical application of security practices and processes.
  • Carry out security tasks and coordinate security services based on relevant policies, standards, procedures, legislation and best practice of the assigned work stream.
  • Provide security guidance and advice to program managers for specific programs.
  • Develop and maintain security policies and plans.
  • Be the first point of contact for security advice and incident response.

Key Requirements

  • Australian citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 2 Defence Security clearance.
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated experience in security and/or a defence industry role, including sound knowledge of defence security principles framework.
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding and experience in relation to the implementation of security policy and process.

Clearances

As a defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and either possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
