Behaviour Support Practitioner Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing behaviour support assessments, writing behaviour support plans, and delivering interventions in various settings.

About the Role:

  • Conduct comprehensive behaviour support assessments to identify individual needs and develop tailored plans
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and communication
  • Deliver behaviour support interventions in clinic, home, and school settings, using evidence-based practices and techniques
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding outcomes for clients

About You:

  • Demonstrated experience as a behaviour support practitioner or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of behaviour support principles and practices
  • Ability to work effectively in stressful situations, maintaining patience and composure when dealing with challenging behaviours
  • Proficient BSP registration or equivalent qualifications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and healthcare professionals
