Occupational Therapist Role

About the Position

The successful candidate will be a registered Occupational Therapist with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to patients and clients across our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to patients and clients in various settings.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient or client.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for achieving optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient and client interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.
  • Prioritize and manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.

Requirements:

  • Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Broad generalist knowledge and clinical proficiency, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work and caseload across a regional area.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
