At Haymes Paint, we are seeking a talented Store Manager to lead our Bendigo store and drive business success. This exciting role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and expertise in retail management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profit targets, ensuring the store operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the store budget, including labor costs, inventory levels, and variable expenses.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS with trade and retail customers to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain high store standards, including stock replenishment, visual displays, and merchandising.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.
  • Recruit, onboard, and coach new team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Roster and manage the team through regular feedback, motivation, coaching, and development.
  • Provide a safe working environment and ensure all staff adhere to safe working procedures.

About You:

  • Prior retail management experience, with a strong desire to succeed in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a trusting team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop strong internal and external relationships, with confidence and organizational skills to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Experience servicing both trade and retail customers, with a proven track record of growing a business.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including understanding P&L reports, inventory management, and controlling expenses.
  • Requirement for a driver's license and the capacity to perform manual tasks, such as lifting 15L cans of paint.
  • Ability to handle conflict and work under pressuring timelines, with a strong focus on building a positive team culture.
