The position of Lead Robotics Software Engineer is a critical role in our organization, requiring an experienced professional to lead software development efforts and expand the frontiers of space exploration with cutting-edge space robotics. This individual will oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust software for hardware systems in real-world products.

This role involves guiding the production and implementation of version control systems to track software updates and ensure stability. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the entire software lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of capable, motivated robotics systems engineers in the design, development, and deployment of robust software for hardware systems in real-world products.
  • Guide the production and implementation of version control systems to track software updates and ensure stability.
  • Manage the entire software lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams of engineers in software development, including deploying software on physical hardware systems.
  • Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps) and ensuring configuration control and backward compatibility.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and maintaining application software for operational hardware systems.
