Lead Robotics Software Engineer

Job Description:

  • Develop cutting-edge space robotics software to advance lunar mobility and in-situ resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust software for hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement version control systems to track software updates and ensure stability.
  2. Develop backward-compatible software to maintain operational continuity with legacy systems.
  3. Manage the entire software lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  4. Oversee the maintenance of existing software applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing operational support.
  5. Develop clean, stable interfaces to support integration with externally developed systems.
  6. Deploy production code and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  7. Integrate with hardware teams to ensure seamless integration between software and hardware components.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in deploying and maintaining software on hardware systems.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide a team of engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior robotics software engineers and participate in code reviews.
