**Truck Mechanic Opportunity**
We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team in Caboolture. As a valued member of the workshop, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, performing service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work on a range of Kenworth and DAF trucks.
The ideal candidate will possess a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualification or equivalent, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with Kenworth or DAF trucks is desirable, but not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing faults and completing job cards correctly
- Carrying out service, maintenance, repair and rebuild work to manufacturer requirements
- Checking own work to ensure it meets manufacturer standards
- Assisting with training apprentices and other workshop personnel
- Participating in the on-call roster and attending off-site breakdowns
