Job Overview

Certis Security Australia is seeking a highly skilled Gatehouse Security Specialist to join our team in Altona North. This is a full-time position that requires 24/7 availability.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes. You will also be checking emails, administration, and required reporting. Additionally, you will confirm that everyone issued with a security access card has completed the relevant induction and provided the appropriate approved access level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site access, including vehicle movement, access control, and visitor passes
  • Monitor and report on security risks, WHS, CCTV surveillance, and respond to various site alarms
  • Provide daily communications diary, event logs, incident reports, breaches, foot patrol reports, readings, alarms, and checks
  • Evaluate and maintain the physical and electronic security integrity of the site perimeter
  • Assist with training new staff members on security protocols and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities and incidents

Qualifications & Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a similar role(s)
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar environment, managing client relationships
  • The applicable Security Licence of the State or Territory in which you work and a current Senior First Aid Certificate in accordance with the applicable Security legislation and associated Regulations
  • A current and applicable Drivers Licence of the State or Territory in which you work, if the inherent requirement of your position requires you to drive
