Job Description

This role involves performing preventative maintenance, faultfinding, and breakdowns on various manufacturing equipment.

You will be working as part of a team that values collaboration and flexibility to assist each other where needed.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced individual who can work day and afternoon shifts and be available on call.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proven understanding of the operation and maintenance procedures of all site equipment.
  • Uphold an innovative approach to improve efficiency and performance in all areas.
  • Work in a highly dynamic manner to minimize downtime and optimize plant efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Exercise strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Undertake shift work and respond to on-call requirements.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis.
  • Contribute to maintaining a zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) site.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a Maintenance Fitter with:

  • Mechanical trade qualifications.
  • Maintenance fitter trade qualifications, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Experience in food/FMCG manufacturing.
  • Confined Space certification.
  • EWP (Elevated Work Platform) license.
  • Forklift license.
  • Knowledge of servicing equipment, including mechanical components, bearings, and pneumatics.
  • Experience with maintenance databases.
