About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Category Management Specialist to join our team at Queensland University of Technology.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving process improvement, optimising vendor relationships, and raising capability across the department to ensure transparency over utilisation and spend across the varying categories of technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Optimise vendor relationships to achieve best value
  • Raise capability across the department to ensure transparency and control
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve business objectives
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for technology categories management
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education, training, and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate and extensive relevant experience
  • Demonstrated high-level expertise and experience in a technology category management role, including a strong understanding of asset management lifecycle
  • Proven high-level communication and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively consult and liaise with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proven capability in reviewing new or modified processes to meet requirements and guidelines
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team and build positive relationships
